This article will look at the recent changes made to the Plex TV guide. You can read the Plex blog post here.
The changes still haven’t been made to the Plex Windows app at writing. So I have tested the changes to the Plex client for Google TV.
The TV guide for over the air television and the Internet TV channels provided by Plex are combined within one TV guide. The local over the air TV guide appears at the top of the TV guide in the order of the TV channel number. The streamed Internet TV appears at the bottom of the guide.
I also noticed that you could change the categories which only displays channels relating to that category. For example, here in the UK, changing the category to news will display BBC News and Sky News received over the air are shown first in the TV guide with Reuters and Euronews streamed via the Internet displayed below.
