Today I will go through some of the problems I encounter while using the Notion application on Android. I use Notion on both my Android smartphone and tablet.
My experiences of using Notion on Android
How I use Notion
The Notion application forms the heart of my productivity system; therefore, I do most of my Notion work on my Windows PC using the Notion Windows application. The Windows application doesn’t cause me any problems.
But sometimes I have to use the Notion android application, and sometimes the experience can be frustrating. The benefits of having a Notion app on Android are huge, enabling me to capture my thoughts, ideas or tasks on the move.
As a thought comes to me, I open the Notion application and add it to my Inbox, a page I have set up on my Notion set up specifically for this task.
I have also been using Notion as my journaling app, as I can access the journal when I’m in bed, allowing me to update my journal when I first wake up in the morning and the last thing at night before I go to bed.
My Android challenges
My first and most frustrating issue with using Notion on Android. I regularly encounter autocorrect with it not completing correctly or removing text. This is frustrating as it slows me down and can sometimes break the flow of my thoughts.
The second issue isn’t just a Notion problem, but because I designed my Notion setup on a PC with a large screen. If you haven’t already figured it out, the issue relates to the lower-resolution screens on my mobile devices. It isn’t even really an issue with Notion. It’s a problem with how I designed my views in Notion.
I have already started making more mobile-friendly views, such as a mobile-friendly task list.
Conclusion
While using Notion on Android can sometimes be frustrating, the benefits of using Notion currently outweigh my frustrations.
