How to setup automated item/page creation on a Notion database
To set up automated page creation, you must create a template for the page or item you wish to make on the database. You can find out how to create a template in our guide to creating a database template in Notion.
Once you have a template, you can define when you want a new page or item to be created on the Notion database.
- Open the database’s new item menu by clicking the downward arrow next to new.
- Click on the three dots next to the template you want to create an automated repeat for
- Select how regularly you want a new entry to be created on your database from that template
- If you select weekly, you can define multiple days each week.
- Select the start date and time you want the repeat to begin.
- Once you are happy, click save to create

Can I now use repeated tasks in Notion?
I have set up several automated tasks to be created on my Notion task database. These automatons have been making new tasks for me on the days I would typically look to do them.
Unfortunately, it isn’t quite there as you can’t specify dates within date fields, such as a due date for tasks. This is a shame, but at least for me, it is something I can live with, as the benefits outweigh the downsides.
