Notion AI is now available to all

Notion AI which was in Alpha development and previously required joining a shortlist to gain early access, is now available to all users from Wednesday, 22 February 2023, when it became available as a paid-for add-on. Notion users have been given some free AI credits to try out Notion AI for themselves.

I’m sure many of us are asking whether Notion AI is worth the cost?

Notion AI Pricing

The price at the launch of Notion AI is $10 per month, or if you already have an annual payment plan with Notion is $8. You should check the Notion pricing page for complete and up-to-date pricing information.

My first thought was that it sounded expensive, but then the large language models like Open GPT require a lot of computing power. Notion will want to cover their costs at least.

So the question for me is, at least, is $10 a month worth the cost of the extra functionality provided by Notion AI?

Is Notion AI Worth Paying For?

Introduction

Notion AI was recently released to all Notion users, and with its release came the question of whether or not it is worth paying for. Here, we will explore the pricing of Notion AI and whether or not it is worth the cost.

Notion AI Pricing

Notion AI is priced at $10 a month, which is discounted to $8 if you currently pay annually. At first glance, this may seem like a steep price to pay for a product that is still in alpha development. However, it is important to note that AI requires expensive computer infrastructure to work properly, which is likely a factor in the cost.

Is Notion AI Worth It?

Given that Notion AI is still in alpha development, it is surprising that it has been released to the public so soon. There appeared to be no beta testing phase, which makes you wonder if Notion is trying to profit from the hype surrounding AI. However, despite this, there are still some potential benefits to using Notion AI.

Improved Time Management

One of the benefits of using Notion AI is the potential for improved time management. Notion AI has the ability to analyse your tasks and make suggestions for how to better manage your time. This could be especially useful for those who struggle with time management and need some guidance.

Enhanced Organization

Notion AI can also help with organisation. It has the ability to analyse your data and make suggestions for how to better organise it. This could be especially useful for those who have a lot of data to manage and need some assistance in keeping it all organised.

Streamlined Workflows

Notion AI can also help streamline workflows. It has the ability to automate certain tasks and make suggestions for how to improve workflows. This could be especially useful for teams who need to collaborate and want to ensure that their workflows are as efficient as possible.

Conclusion of Notion blog post

In conclusion, whether or not Notion AI is worth paying for depends on your individual needs and circumstances. While there are some potential benefits to using Notion AI, it is still in alpha development, and there is no guarantee that it will work perfectly. However, if you are someone who struggles with time management, organisation, or workflow efficiency, it may be worth giving Notion AI a try. Just keep in mind that there is a cost associated with it, and it may not be the right fit for everyone.

Conclusion of my blog post

I have written a couple of articles on Notion AI during alpha testing. One of my impressions was on Notion AI for content creators, and a second was on using Notion AI for brainstorming. I found it helpful but limiting.

I, for one, will not be paying for Notion AI. It is more than I’m willing to pay for the limited use I would currently get from the added Notion AI functionality
