Morgen review 2022

Today I’m reviewing the Morgen calendar and task management application. I found Morgen an interesting application, and I can see it being a perfect fit for some people. Keep reading to find out if it was a perfect match for me.

The review was written based on my experiences of using the free tier version of Morgen, which I have used for over a month.

Morgen pricing

Morgen currently has three price tiers starting with the free tier, which I currently use.

On the free tier, you have one calendar account, which is attached to my Google calendar. It also allows for unlimited scheduling links, which you can use to schedule meetings with others. It also provides unlimited tasks, and task lists creation.

The personal account increases the calendar accounts to 2 and allows personal integrations with some popular task management systems and Zappier integrations.

The pro plan also adds integration to online meeting applications such as Zoom and the personal branding of your booking page.

Morgen task management

Morgen has got a built-in task management system that allows you to create unlimited task lists and tasks. You can specify the task priority, the date the task is due to be completed, and the estimated time for that task.

The task management system works reasonably well overall. However, it would have been nice to have been able to enter these attributes into the task instead of having to edit the tasks, which I found fiddly.

Once tasks have been created, they can be dragged and dropped into the calendar, allowing you to block out time for you to work on those tasks.

Google calendar synchronisation with Morgen

Overall I was pleased with how synchronisation works, including the sharing of tasks added to the calendar. The only real disappointment is that Morgen defines one colour for each calendar. Helpful if you go for another pricing option and use Morgen to manage multiple calendars.
