How to import notes from Obsidian to Mem

This guide will take you through the process of importing an Obsidian note from your vault into Mem. At the time of writing, it is only possible to import one Obsidian file into Mem at a time.

1. In Mem, select import from apps due to the left-hand menu
2. Click the import button next to Markdown/Text, as Obsidian notes are in the Markdown format. You can learn more about Markdown in our guide.
3. Click on the drag-drop button to open the file explorer window
4. Navigate to your vault and find the file you want to upload, and click open
5. The file will be imported into Mem

Conclusion

The import files into Mem documentation suggests the functionality is still in development. But while writing this guide, I noticed an issue with my Zettelkasten note that appears to have not yet been imported, and I’m wondering if it is due to have a collection.
