Fix your Plex music metadata
I tested this process using the Windows Plex app with a couple of compilation albums on my Plex media server, which had no metadata.
- Open the Plex app
- Open your music library and filter by album.
- Hover the mouse over the icon of the album you want to fix
- Click on the three parallel dots and select the match menu
- A list of possible matches will appear. Check the list and select the match if there is one
- If no match is found, click on search options and any details you have, such as the album name, then click search
- Hopefully, your album has appeared in the search result. If it has, select the album.
Conclusion
There are no guarantees that this will work in every case.
