Elon Musk Twitter bid withdrawal

Elon Musk has withdrawn his bid to buy Twitter. As a Twitter user, I wanted to write a quick article on my thoughts on why this is good news for Twitter users.

After Elon Musk announced his bid to take over Twitter, I wrote an article on my concerns around Elon Musk’s taking ownership of Twitter. In the article, I expressed some concerns about Social Media in general.

As a Twitter user, I’m, relieved that Elon Musk Musk’s take-over bid has been withdrawn. I was concerned about the direction he wanted to take the platform, such as restoring Donald Trump’s account and citing freedom of speech as the reason for such a move.

However, the underlying problem with Social Media remains it’s a discussion forum owned by companies whose focus is on making money for their shareholders. The Twitter board are determined to see the deal with Elon Musk through at the agreed price.
