I launched the CTNET website in October 2020, and as the site celebrates its birthday. I’m reflecting on my journey over the last 12 months while writing this article. I’m also thinking about how the site is likely to develop over the next 12 months.
Let us start looking at looking back over the last 12 months.
My thoughts on CTNET first year
I published my first blog post on 25 October 2020, which was a review on Plex. It was the first article I ever published and as you would expect it wasn’t very good. If nothing else, writing articles for this website has improved my writing. I have had some help from an online grammar checker called Grammarly, which I’ll be reviewing during the next few weeks.
It took two or three months for someone other than myself to visit the CTNET website. I felt excited, thinking that someone else was reading something that I had written. I became hooked on writing content that I hope people either enjoy or find helpful.
I’m especially proud of the Plex content I have developed over the 12 months, which some visitors find helpful as it says on the CTNET about page. The site exists to help make technology accessible to all.
From a personal point of view, I’m also pleased that I could use the CTNET website as a platform to host our series of articles for Internet beginners. Not that hosting Internet beginner guides on a website isn’t lost to me.
How will CTNET evolve over the next 12 months
I’m currently publishing two blog posts on CTNET every week. I usually publish a guide on Monday and a more general article or review on Friday. A few months ago, I experimented with writing three pieces of content, but I couldn’t sustain that schedule due to my full-time job.
I’m planning to continue to improve the content I publish as I continue to improve my writing skills. I will also look to publish content in other media such as video or audio podcasts. What format would you like us to use to deliver content other than our written articles?
CTNET will continue to work towards making technology accessible to all by writing informative articles, reviews and guides.
Conclusion
Finally, I wanted to thank everyone who has read one of our articles and hope I can help you again. You can follow CTNET on Twitter @CTNET12.
