The import company is now available for you to try via the Experimental Lab DLC. This article will show you how to set up a new game with the Import company. It will also walk you through the basic steps of setting up an import company in the game.
How to start a new game with the Import company?
To access the import company, which is currently part of the Experimental DLC. You will need to own Capitalism Lab as well as all four DLC’s. For further details, check out our article on Capitalism Experimental DLC.
Activate the Experimental DLC via the DLC screen. Once the DLC is active, start a new custom game, go to the Experimental DLC tab, and turn on Import company.
Once you have turned on the import company, several options will now be displayed, which will impact how the Import company will work in your game. I have described each option in the list below.
- Import product varity. A value which represents the percentage of goods that will be available for import via an import company at the start of the game.
- Import semi products only. If you select yes, only semi products can be imported via an import company.
- Import quality. Determines the quality of the goods which can be imported by an import company.
- Import varity increase. If switched on the number of goods available for import through an import company will increase over time.
- Constant supply. If switchted on the supply of goods through an import company are consistent.
Once you have finished setting up the Import company, make any other changes you wish to make and start a new game.
How to start a new import company in Capitalism Lab?
- Access the build menu, select import company and place the company on the map.
- Open the import company and click add import.
- Any goods that can be imported have a cargo ship icon next to them
- Select the item you want to imported whic can be imported and click the import button.
An import company has a limit of 10 items that it can import. So you will need to set up another company when you want to import more. Goods which have been selected for import are available for purchase by any other company you own.
Conclusion
As the import company is part of the experimental DLC. It might not appear in the full game or any future DLC’s. However, it does make me wonder if the import company could replace the ports at some point in the future. What do you think?
