Business Email Compromised By Exchange Hack.
On 2 March Microsoft blamed the Chinese government for a hacking attack on software vulnerabilities within the company Exchange email server software. Microsoft has since then released a patch that fixes the vulnerabilities being exploited in these attacks. The National Cyber Security Centre has estimated that 7,000 servers here in the UK have been impacted, with only half of these servers now secure. The full story is available here.
Microsoft Take Over Of Bethesda Approved
Microsoft’s take over of Bethesda has been approved by regulators in the USA and the European Union. You can read the takeover story here. As part of the deal, 12 games have been added to the Xbox game pass. The full list of games and further details can be read here.
EA To Investigate EAGate
Allegations have been made regarding EA employees in Europe who have been selling high value FIFA Ultimate cards for thousands of pounds. EA are investigating. You can read the full story can be read here.
Chrome OS To Get Update For Reaching 10
Google has announced an upcoming update to Chrome this week. The new update will include a new phone hub to improve connectivity with phones running Android. Full details can be found here.
YouTube deletes 30,000 Vaccine Misinformation Videos
According to YouTube. 30,000 videos have been removed in the last five months that contained misinformation on the vaccine for COVID-19. The full story can be read here.
Older People embrace Computers
The last story I wanted to share this week as I found it uplifting. According to the Guardian, the Pandemic has encouraged older people to embrace technology. As someone who has been interested in technology since I was a child.
