Mem.ai templates

Templates allow you to use the same content over and over again. Many note-taking applications will enable you to create and manage templates to increase the efficiency of the application by allowing you to reuse standard text over and over again with ease.

This guide will look at how you can create, use, and update templates within the Mem.ai application.

So what is a placeholder

A placeholder can be used in a template and will pull data from the system on template creation. Mem.ai currently supports the four following placeholders. In mem.ai, placeholders are placed within square brackets.

  1. [Today] or [Date] for today’s date
  2. [Tomorrow] for tomorrow’s date
  3. [Me] or [My Name] for your name
  4. [My First Name] for your first name

I wouldn’t be surprised if more placeholders are added to Mem.ai in future.

The mem.ai create a template screen displaying the application tips on using placeholders.
